Horatio Luna X AKA Zeb is a genre-defying live duo based in Naarm/Melbourne, blending deep house grooves, jazz improvisation, and dancefloor energy into an electrifying performance.
The project brings together two of the city's most respected and forward-thinking musicians. Horatio Luna (aka Henry Hicks) is a bassist, composer, and producer known for his work with 30/70, jazz house outfit Lush Life, modern jazz trio John Henderson, and afro-house group Teymori. A boundary-pushing shape-shifter, Luna's critically acclaimed records Cultural Warriors, Boom Boom, and Yes Doctor weave dub, jazz, bruk, and house into one fluid, exploratory sound. His contribution to the local scene was cemented with a feature on Gilles Peterson's Sunny Side Up compilation.
AKA Zeb is an electronic producer and DJ whose sound is rooted in soulful deep house, 90s Detroit and NYC rhythms, and modern jazz textures. Known for his dynamic live sets that fuse improvisation with groove-heavy dance music, he released his debut vinyl EP through Villa Records in 2024, alongside a growing catalogue on local labels Love Above and Inner Sauce.
