Chuleo Club
Chuleo Club, founded by Lina Zabaleta, is a genre-blending platform and event series born from a deep passion for reggaeton and its ever- evolving subgenres.
More than just a party, Chuleo is an inclusive space where Latinx sounds meet underground club culture, queer energy, and femme-led creativity.
Since launching in March 2024, Chuleo has quickly become a powerhouse for femme-identified artists, DJs, and creatives, with a strong focus on platforming diverse voices across so-called Australia.
From neo-reggaeton and dembow to cumbiatón and Latin-electronic fusions, each event is a curated experience rooted in culture, rhythm, and connection.
In just over a year, Chuleo has hosted seventeen major events, including sold-out shows with international icons like Rosa Pistola, Manuka Honey, DJ LIZZ, Half Queen, Safety Trance, CRRDR, and Sukubratz, alongside standout local talent.
In March 2025, Chuleo also brought its signature perreo energy to the bush, taking over a stage at Pitch Music & Arts Festival with a full showcase of Latinx club sounds.
In addition to live events, Chuleo currently holds a 2025 residency on Skylab Radio, broadcasting monthly episodes that spotlight Latinx club sounds. Starting October 2025, Chuleo will also launch a club residency at Club 77 (Eora/Sydney) further expanding its national footprint.
We’ve activated venues across Naarm/Melbourne, Eora/Sydney, Kaurna/Adelaide, and Meanjin/Brisbane, collaborating with spaces like Miscellania, The Northcote Theatre, The Night Cat, New Guernica, Club 77, Civic Underground, Ancient World, and Warehouse 24.
