Redspencer

Redspencer have formed a style that has been labeled ‘Dream-Pop’ because it doesn’t fit anywhere else. The hat tips to tradition while surging with an energy that could only exist in a post internet world, bringing some of the best parts of the past forward. Some influences most notably include - the jangle of ‘The Clientele’, the lo-fi grit of ‘Small World Experience’, slacker-dance of ‘Dean Blunt’, the dreaminess of ‘Jessica Pratt’, and early 2000’s Madonna pop sensibilities.

Rural bred Glen Innes NSW boys David and Aiden found themselves in Melbourne in 2013. A few years of single releases and gigs garnered a small but devoted following. 2015 saw the groups debut self titled EP harness a sound more polished sound. One year later, the debut album - ‘Perks’ carried on this tradition, receiving praise both locally and internationally. Five years Later, in 2021 the second album ‘Dreamworld’ was released into a world of masks and curfews, which loyal fans believed to be their most realised work yet.

The Third Redspencer album - Primal Urges, produced by multi-talented Alex Markwell of the Delta Riggs will drop early October. Live shows include David & Aiden Mcmillan (guitars) , Ryan Mclerie (bass) , and Liam Gough on drums
