Ruby Milner is a singer-songwriter from Naarm (Melbourne), whose searing honesty carves space for the listener to feel along the corners of love and change. Her roots in country-folk music, later influenced by jazz and indie-rock sounds, shape stories that embody years of quiet writing. Her thought-provoking lyricism and razor-sharp reflections unfold an emotional exploration that is “richly sincere” (3CR Radio). Winner of the 2024 Pie School songwriting competition (Pieater Label), her deeply personal writing is reminiscent of influences such as Joni Mitchell, Adrienne Lenker and Rufus Wainwright. Ruby made her solo debut in 2024, supporting Hannah Cameron at Naarm’s iconic Brunswick Ballroom, and has since released her debut single, ‘Bullbar’ (2025) which featured on Rage after winning the program’s ‘Wild One’ award. Amidst a run of UK shows set for May 2026, she is writing and recording a new body of songs.
