Yours, Georgina
Yours, Georgina is the folk-rock project of Georgie Currie, a Naarm/Melbourne-based singer-songwriter. Georgie grew up in Albury on Wiradjuri Country and spent her childhood listening to the storied voices of Bernard Fanning, Dolores O’Riordan and Missy Higgins. She first cut her teeth as a musician and songwriter with 11-piece, The Northern Folk. Over a period of more than ten years, the folk-pop band played countless shows across much of eastern Australia and released three studio albums.
Since 2021, Georgie has released her solo music under the moniker Yours, Georgina. She draws her name from the gut-punching sincerity of her cursive songwriting, which is made further memorable by the rare and arresting strength of her voice. When joined by her band, Yours, Georgina’s sound evolves from bedroom-folk to a punctuated and “brooding cinematic rock” (scenestr). In 2024, Yours, Georgina independently released an EP titled ‘Noonlight’. The EP received both commercial and community radio play and has amassed over 70,000 streams. Since then, she has supported mainstays of the folk and alternative scenes, The Maes and Emily Barker, and appeared at festivals like Moomba (Melbourne) and Feastival (Falls Creek). In 2026, Yours, Georgina will share the first releases from her debut record.
