Tanswells T^akeover
As always, the Tanswells will take the reins from 6pm, bringing their signature Sunday magic to close out the weekend.
A Special Addition: CW STONEKINGS!
This year we're incredibly excited to welcome C.W. Stoneking for a special one-hour performance at the pub as part of Tanswell's Takeover.
Due to venue capacity, this performance will be ticketed, making it the only ticketed component of Sunday's programming.
For those who don't wish to attend the show, Sunday remains very much alive, with food available throughout the evening and a special activation happening upstairs in the pub during the performance.
C.W Stoneking
C.W. Stoneking returns to Australian stages this August and September, bringing his one-of-a-kind brand of hokum blues, jungle exotica, and old-time gospel to rooms and halls across the country. With a voice that sounds like it was conjured from a different era entirely, Stoneking delivers a live experience unlike anything else — raw, hypnotic, and utterly transportive.
From the tropical stages of the Darwin Festival to Sydney's Factory Theatre, the Corner Hotel in Melbourne to a golf club in the NSW hinterland, this tour winds its way through cities, coastal towns, and hidden gems alike. Wherever he plays, C.W. Stoneking turns the room into something stranger and more wonderful than it was before he arrived.
Don't miss your chance to catch a true original on home soil.
Fenn Wilson & the Weather
Fenn Wilson and The Weather, comprising brother George Carroll Wilson on drums, Guy Perkins on bass and
Mika Kohlman on saxophones, have been busy this year writing a bunch of sharp and brilliant new songs,
blooding them at gigs in Melbourne and Sydney and local and interstate festivals.
The band's skintight arrangements and pop-noir hooks, coupled with the intuitive musicianship and discipline that
comes with lives spent playing, are nothing short of riveting; drawing on the cityscape around them, love and
existentialism. Imagine Television with Jeff Buckley or Scott Walker at the mic.
Bad Knees
Bad Knees, fresh from slots at Yack Folkie and beer swamps everywhere, come to the Wonder Mountain Tanswells Takeover - Sean Curtis (The Pigs, Torpedos, Mic Conway) with Chris Mangan (bass) and Del Preston (drums) play twang-soaked rock ’n’ roll, surf and crunchy country.
Jane Doe
For the 5th year running, hometown favourite selector Jane Doe, returns to close out Wonder Mountain festival. The final soundtrack of the weekend.
Thought you were picking up your goods and chattels on Sunday? Think again - because, like the common phrase suggests, ‘It ain’t over until Jane Doe throws off her headphones and kicks off her cowboy boots’!
Over the years, this closing set has quietly become a tradition. One last hoorah for those that never want the party to end. The energy is high, yet relaxed. The chandeliers of The Commy swing and the dancefloor belongs to the ever-reliable punters who dig deep and find something left in the tank. The kind of set people talk about afterwards and make sure they don’t miss the next year.
With a carefully curated journey behind the decks, this one is built for the legends who come to bring movement and joy, and honour the assignment ‘til the end. Known for creating feel-good sets rooted in her love of disco and funky house, expect blends of uplifting groove heavy house and disco energy. But like her, expect the unexpected with eclectic misfits and some nostalgia to boot, a bit wild and never to be taken too seriously.
You don’t want to miss this iconic night and one last push before the lights come on for Wonder Mountain 2026. If the past predicts the future, consider yourself staying for another night, because at Wonder Mountain, Tuesday is the new Monda
